It’s important to help the environment however you can, and small changes can help you do so right from your home at NAS Pensacola Homes. If you find the waste from traditional cosmetics to be a little excessive, check out these five great beauty products that are made with environmental safety in mind.
John Masters Organics is one of the most dependable producers of green beauty supplies, and many people rave about their sea salt sprays. These sprays give your hair a classic beachy look, and their combination of sea salt and lavender protects and hydrates your locks.
Burt’s Bees has made a great reputation for themselves as producers of high-quality lotions and other products. If you want an alternative to traditional alcohol-based hand sanitizers, try their excellent aloe and witch hazel-based product. It kills germs and leaves your hands feeling soft.
The German-made Dr. Hauschka products are very popular among skin care experts, and for good reason. Their rose day cream is made with natural rose petal extracts, and rose wax plus marsh mallow root strengthen and hydrate delicate skin.
To tone and clear up unsightly bags under your eyes, try 100% Pure Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream. Caffeine is a natural tightener, and it constricts blood vessels and makes skin clearer and smoother.
Makeup tools are also made with care for the future of the Earth. The brushes and sponges made by the EcoTools company are crafted from cruelty-free hair on bamboo bodies and natural, recyclable materials and come in a reusable storage pouch.

If you’re looking for some entertaining things to do with your kids, why not make the time and do a craft project? The thrill of creating something with their own two hands can not only liven up an afternoon, but will also instill good work habits, and stimulate the imagination. Below are a few fun projects to do with your little ones; they're easy to make right at home at NAS Pensacola Homes.
Make a pirate ship out of a milk carton and have adventures on the high seas. Take an old milk carton and wash it out thoroughly, then lay it on its side. Attach a folded rectangle of cardboard to the top to make a deck. Punch a hole in the top, stick a straw through, and glue a rectangle of white paper on for a sail. Decorate it, and then have an open-seas adventure!
With some string and a little cardboard, you can create a mobile to hang in your child’s room. Use tongue depressors as a base and punch holes to thread the string through at different lengths. Cut out shapes from cardboard and hang them from the string at varying lengths. Let your child pick the theme, like jungle, princesses, or trains.
Decoupage is a great way to make colorful and exciting crafts. Lay down freezer paper and arrange cut paper, magazines, and other materials in a single layer, then coat with instant decoupage. You can use it to make collages, belts, appliques for clothes, and more.
It’s easy to make your own pom-poms out of yarn, curling ribbon, and tissue paper. You can even make them out of multi-colored garbage bags. Use craft wire to affix them together and then work with your kids to create some cheers!

When the little ones return from school, they're sure to have pent-up energy. Here are some fun and fabulous afterschool activities your kids are sure to love:
Cooking
Instead of preparing a snack for when school's out, have your kids help make it. In giving their own input and assistance, they will be developing a very practical skill while also building confidence.
Make Decorations
There's almost always a holiday right around the corner, and home made decorations are a great way to spark a child's creativity. Whether they're made with paint, construction paper, or macaroni, these decorations are an easy and fun activity all year long.
Write a Story
Writing a story after school will boost children's imaginations. Provide a theme, ask them to write about their day, or let them write about whatever they want. You can even keep these stories in binders, letting their stories turn into books that they can feel a real sense of accomplishment over.
Scavenger Hunts
Send the kids outside with a list of objects to find. Have them find as many different kinds of rocks or leaves as they can, for example. Another great option is to have them find as many objects as they can from whatever season it happens to be at the time.
Gardening
Having a little garden for your kids to tend is a wonderful way to get them outside and provide lessons about the natural world and personal responsibility. Whether it's different kinds of vegetables in a garden or a few scattered flowerpots, a little garden is a great activity to engage kids.

Aside from being exceptionally high in vitamins K and C, broccoli has been proven to help in the prevention of a number of cancers. It's also a great detoxifier, and can lower cholesterol.
Salmon

Here in the United States, pizza is something that many people have strong opinions about. Everybody has a favorite style — from traditional thin crust, New York style, to deep dish Chicago style. If you're a true pizza fan, and want to know where to get the very best, here are a few pizza places that stand out among the crowd.
DiFara’s, Brooklyn, New York
It is a bit of a long train ride out to DiFara’s from center city, but generations of pizza lovers will tell you it’s well worth it. Fabulously toothsome, thin crust pies are topped with a tangy sauce, rounds of fresh mozzarella, and enhanced with herbs from the store’s window garden.
Frank Pepe, New Haven, Connecticut
The classic “tomato pie” of New Haven is an area delicacy that you won’t find anywhere else in the nation. The delicious crust is the foundation for a mild, chunky tomato sauce that just needs a little grated Romano to really impress.
Pizzeria Mozza, Los Angeles, California
Famed chef Mario Batali is the man behind the menu at this upscale L.A. pizzeria, and, as you would expect, the pies are stellar. The crust is fluffy and balloons up to support outrageous toppings like squash blossoms and fresh burrata.
Al Forno, Providence, Rhode Island
Al Forno first opened its doors in 1980, and specializes in pies that barely stray from flatbread territory but still satisfy. Pizzas here are cooked on a grill and topped with fresh ingredients sourced from local providers.
Pizzeria Blanco, Phoenix, Arizona
You probably wouldn’t expect to find some of the best pies in the United States in Arizona, but the world is full of wonderful surprises. Chef Chris Bianco makes all his crusts with top-notch organic flour, and then fires them in a gorgeous wood-fired oven. Pizza are topped with awesome ingredients that provide outstanding flavor combinations.
